About Us | Ministry History
Light of life Worship Center is a progressive, purpose-driven ministry. We are warm and inviting, a multicultural ministry located in the beautiful city of Margate, Florida. Our ministry purpose is to infiltrate the World with passionate praise and worship, along with the real life application from the Word of God. Our services are blessed by the presence of God, whether it is Sunday Morning Worship, Wednesday Night Kingdom Life Study, or one of our many community activities your life will be challenged by God's Word and Spirit.
Light of Life is affectionately known as "L.O.L" began foundationally in October of 2001 with weekly bible studies in a residential clubhouse. L.O.L. was incorporated in February 2002, with seven members and began holding worship services at Village Elementary School in Sunrise, Florida.
Our Ministry Name
Light Of Life's name is derived from John 8:12 Then spake unto Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of thy world he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life (KJV)
What to Expect?
The Difference…that’s what you’ll find as our guest! You should expect a personal, uplifting worship experience. Every service is geared for participation. We typically worship as we live, with enthusiasm.What is appropriate to wear to church?
While our focus is not
on what you wear, we do encourage ministry partners and visitors to
dress comfortably and safely. Our worship services are relaxed
and most business casual attires are acceptable
Praise & Worship Experience
Our praise and worship experience is
diverse and energetic. It includes the use of musical instruments
and uplifting songs. Our Praise & Worship Team and Worship Dancers
lead the congregation during Sunday Morning and Mid-week services in
creating an atmosphere that is conducive for the manifested presence
of God’s Glory.
Ministry Time Prayer
A special time in the service is devoted to intercessory prayer, usually occurring just before the start of each service. Depending upon the leading of the Holy Spirit, intercessory prayer is sometimes incorporated in the midst of the worship service.
Giving
Much of our church is operated through
the tithes and other financial gifts of members. Each Service our church
family is given an opportunity to bless/support the Church. This is
not a time of pressured involvement rather a cheerful celebration of
HIS goodness to us. As we plan for
being good stewards of God's resources, we utilize Offering Envelopes. Offering
envelopes should be filled out completely and used for monetary gifts
above five dollars.
We believe giving the tithe (the first tenth of all financial increase/income) declares that God comes first. It recognizes His blessing, expresses faith and seeks His guidance in every matter in life.
First Time Visitors
We’ll never "put you on the
spot". We won't make you wear a "visitor"
tag, or stand to up introduce yourself. In hopes of recognizing
our 1st “timers”, we will ask our first time visitors
to stand briefly during of welcome service, so that we can thank you
personally for worshipping with us.
Challenging Messages
The high point of our services comes
with the preaching of God’s Word. The sermon messages are demonstrative,
inspiring and practical. Our pastor may close the sermon by inviting
congregants to come forward specifically for prayer. We refer to this
time as the Altar Call, an opportunity for one to receive salvation,
re-commit to their Christian Faith or pray about personal concerns. During
the altar call, deep emotion and excitement may be demonstrated thereby,
altar counselors and ministers are available if assistance is needed.
