The overall purpose of our premarital counseling program is to provide you with the tools you need to glorify God and love your spouse as God designed. LOL is a Premarital course provider who is registered with the Broward Clerk of Courts.

Any man and woman who are engaged to be married or who are thinking about becoming engaged are able to benefit from premarital counseling.  Equally, couples who were recently married (within one year) will also benefit from this counseling.You do not have to be a member of Light of Life nor does your wedding need to be officiated by the pastor of the Church at Light of Life.

WHEN DO WE START PREMARITAL COUNSELING?

Ideally, a couple will begin their premarital counseling at least three months prior to their wedding date

To Obtain a Marriage License (Broward County)

The standard marriage license fee is $93.50 and includes a 3-day waiting period before a marriage ceremony can be performed. If the couple elects the option to attend a State of Florida premarital course from a registered provider, the marriage license fee is lowered to $61.00 and the waiting period is waived upon providing a certificate of completion at the time of filing the application.
